Step 3 - Organise Your Travel

So you’ve got your festival ticket and you’ve secured your secret mountain lair - the next step - how are you getting to the party on top of the world?

There are many different ways to get to Rise, you can start a glitter fuel convoy and drive, become Sir David Attenborough’s best friend and hop on one of our return coach journeys, - the greenest way to get to Rise or you can fly into one of the surrounding airports. We’ve put together a quick guide to make you more ‘Adventure Hero’ and less ‘Idiot Aboard’.

Driving

Gather your crew, driving isn’t as long as you think! From Calais the journey takes anywhere from 9 to 11 hours depending on traffic. There is a motorway or dual carriage way all the way to the foot of the Alps. The better route is via Reims and not via Paris; and then on past Troyes, Dijon and passing close to Geneva. Try using ViaMichelin to plan your route.

Coach Trip

Hands down the easiest way to get to Rise Festival. Door to Door (if the bus stop is your doorstep!) travel. From the UK to Les 2 Alpes.

Fly to the Mountains

Les 2 Alpes is served by multiple airports, Grenoble, Geneva and Lyon. We recommend flying into Grenoble as it is the closest airport to resort (that means it also has the shortest transfer time - high five!)

Heads up! Don’t book your flights just yet! Cheaper flights are released by budget airlines in April.

Extras

Ski Hire

Our one stop shop has all of the equipment to get you kitted out for the entire week, including skis, poles, snowboards, boots, helmets. You can book everything that you need on one place, ready to hit the slopes when you get to resort with our resort team having everything ready for you.

Lessons

For complete beginners who are wary of the runs, or just those who want to scrub up on their skills before skiing, Rise Festival offers bespoke lessons throughout the course of the festival. Our privatised, English speaking instructors have been quality checked by us, and plan each lesson with the festival in mind. We work closely with a chosen partner to deliver the best possible experiences. Where else can you take a ski lesson and end up at the après ski venue?

Adventure

Embrace adventure at altitude. Fly through the French Alps with a paraglider on your back, rev your engines on the back of a snowmobile, or showcase your talent in the Rise Games. Adventure always awaits.
